Abstract
This research was conducted to explore the 4 novels of female authors, whose protagonists were
prostitutes, namely Ying Khon Chua by K.SurangKhanang, first published before the Second World War,
Roy Montin by Thommayantee, Luam Salab Lai and Long Fai by Krissana Asoksin, published after the
Second World War. The research found that the social contexts both before and after the Second World
War until the present time had played an important role in determing background, status, and role of
protogonists. However, what remained unchangeable were negative social attitudes toward prostitutes since
womens virginity was crucial and only for a man to marry traditionally. The status of prostitutes was
lower than that of normal women in accordance with social standard. Nevertheless, the three novelists
viewed this differently by demonstrating the hidden beauty of which was rarely realized by the society,
even a weak-morality protagonist was illustrated in terms of misleading not wickedness.
The selected novels also showed literary impacts, theme, narration, determination of characters
characteristics and behaviors, integrated dialogue and setting. Compared to other stories composed in
different periods, these pieces of work displayed development in techniques, allowing more understanding
in the characters. I
n addition, the 4 novels were full of moral values stimulating the necessity of
conscience and judgment together with mental strength reflected .via the prostitute protagonists struggle
with conflicts and their power in encountering problems with hopes for better life. Other characters
sympathy for the protagonists revealed the authors expectation in virtue which prolonged human
relationship.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจทักษะกระบวนการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ที่เกี่ยวข้องในเรื่องเซลล์และ
กระบวนการของเซลล์ของนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 จำนวน 120 คน ของโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษา 3 แห่ง
ในจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี โดยใช้ข้อคำถามแบบอัตนัยที่ให้นักเรียนเขียนอธิบายจำนวน 6 ข้อ ซึ่งครอบคลุมการวัด
ทักษะกระบวนการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ขั้นพื้นฐานและขั้นผสมรวม 6 ทักษะ ได้แก่ การคำนวณ การพยากรณ์ การตั้ง
สมมติฐาน การกำหนดและควบคุมตัวแปร การทดลอง และการตีความหมายข้อมูลและการลงข้อสรุป ผลการ
สำรวจพบว่านักเรียนส่วนใหญ่ขาดทักษะในด้านการคำนวณ การตั้งสมมติฐาน การกำหนดและควบคุมตัวแปรและ
การตีความหมายและการลงข้อสรุป ผลจากการที่นักเรียนขาดทักษะที่สำคัญเหล่านี้ในการเรียนน่าจะเป็นปัญหาสำหรับ
นักเรียนในการทำความเข้าใจแนวคิดวิทยาศาสตร์ และขาดความสามารถในการปฏิบัติการทดลองและการสืบเสาะ
