Abstract

The objective of this research project was to study the fifth-year science student teachers’ competencies, practice, characteristics as well as attitude towards teaching profession as perceived by 34 student teachers, 7 university supervisors and 34 cooperating teachers. This descriptive study drew upon questionnaires, records of group discussion in seminar and documents as data sources. Data were gathered throughout one year in 2008 academic year. Percentages, arithmetic means and standard deviation were used to analyze quantitative data while content analysis was used to analyze qualitative data. The findings indicated that, in science student teachers’, university supervisors’, and cooperating teachers’ perception, science student teachers had competencies, practice and characteristics at high and highest level. Engaging field experience could develop student teachers’ science content knowledge, understanding about teacher’s role, and being a good teacher. However, science student teachers had faced problems in classroom management and doing action research. These findings suggested that teacher preparation institutes, supervisors, cooperating teachers, schools should cooperatively plan and develop professional experience training to develop student teachers’ competencies, practice and personalities especially in classroom management and doing action research according to educational reform.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความรู้ความสามารถ การปฏิบัติงาน คุณลักษณะและเจตคติต่อ วิชาชีพครูของนิสิตสาขาวิชาการสอนวิทยาศาสตร์จากการฝึกประสบการณ์วิชาชีพครู ในหลักสูตรการผลิตครู 5 ปี ของสถาบันผลิตครูแห่งหนึ่งในกรุงเทพมหานคร กลุ่มที่ศึกษาคือ นิสิตฝึกประสบการณ์วิชาชีพจำนวน 34 คน อาจารย์นิเทศก์จำนวน 7 คน และอาจารย์พี่เลี้ยงจำนวน 34 คนโดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงบรรยาย (Descriptive Research) เครื่องมือในการเก็บรวมรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามการรับรู้ของนิสิต อาจารย์นิเทศก์ และอาจารย์ พี่เลี้ยงเกี่ยวกับความรู้ความสามารถ การปฏิบัติงาน คุณลักษณะและเจตคติต่อวิชาชีพครูของนิสิต การบันทึกการ อภิปรายกลุ่ม และการศึกษาเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยดำเนินการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นเวลา 1 ปี ในปีการศึกษา 2551 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณหาความถี่ ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิต และค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล เชิงคุณภาพโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่านิสิต อาจารย์นิเทศก์ และอาจารย์พี่เลี้ยง มีความคิดเห็น ว่าการฝึกประสบการณ์วิชาชีพครูส่งผลให้นิสิตมีความรู้ความสามารถ การปฏิบัติงาน คุณลักษณะในด้านต่างๆ ในระดับมากและมากที่สุด นิสิตมีความรู้ในสาระการเรียนรู้ที่ใช้สอนนักเรียนในระดับมากที่สุด นิสิตสามารถปฏิบัติ ตนในสังคมในโรงเรียนอย่างเหมาะสม และทำให้นิสิตพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์หลายด้าน อย่างไรก็ตาม นิสิตประสบปัญหาเกี่ยวกับการควบคุมชั้นเรียน และการทำวิจัยในชั้นเรียน จากผลการวิจัยทำให้ผู้วิจัยได้ ข้อเสนอแนะว่า สถาบันผลิตครู อาจารย์นิเทศก์ อาจารย์พี่เลี้ยง โรงเรียนฝึกประสบการณ์วิชาชีพตลอดจนบุคลากร ที่เกี่ยวข้องอื่นๆ ควรมีโอกาสร่วมกันวางแผนและพัฒนาการจัดการฝึกประสบการณ์วิชาชีพครูเพื่อส่งเสริมให้นิสิต มีความรู้ความสามารถและคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ โดยเฉพาะการควบคุมชั้นเรียนและวิจัยในชั้นเรียนให้ สอดคล้องกับการปฏิรูปการเรียนรู้
