Language play is a systemic modification of ordinary language, and can be seen in many languages. Hence, there are many people studying this phenomenon, thus, resulting in a wide variety of technical terms. Following the cross-linguistic study, language play typology, based on modification mechanisms, can be categorized as insertion, rearrangement, institution and deletion. As language play is a communication device, advantages gained from this phenomenon are received by language users and researchers. Although, there are plenty of Thai language plays, no study about language play has been done. If a person would like to study this phenomenon, he/she should collect data and analyze it systematically so as to perceive the modification.
