Abstract

The purposes of this survey research were to study and compare the need of teaching and learning of sex education among teachers, parents and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th level of school students, and to investigate the guideline for sex education curriculum development for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th level of school students, which is accepted by teachers, parents and students. The samples consisted of 150 teachers, 150 parents and 150 students from Songkhla, Phatthalung and Yala provinces. The research tools were sex education needs questionaire and open-ended questions about sex education curriculum. Data were analyzed by, percentage, mean, standard deviation, F-test and analysis of variance of the difference of post hoc Scheffe-test. Qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis. Results showed that the mean of teachers’ need on sex education was considerably high ( X = 2.56), while the mean of sex education need among parents and students was relatively high ( = 2.09, and = 2.02). In addition, the mean of requirement for sex education among teachers, parents and students showed statistical significant difference at the level of (P <.05). It was found that teachers, parents and students preferred subject contents focusing on the prevention of not only sexual problems but also premature sexual intercourse, for the 2nd level of secondary school students, for the 3rd level of secondary school students, the emphasis was laid on the areas of accurate and better understanding of sex knowledge. Both the importance of preparations to become mature adults and the ability to solve unexpected problems were stressed in the curriculum for the 4th level of high school students.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบความต้องการการเรียน การสอน เพศศึกษาของครู ผู้ปกครองและนักเรียนในช่วงชั้นที่ 2, 3 และ 4 และ 2) เพื่อหาแนวทางการจัดทำหลักสูตร เพศศึกษา สำหรับช่วงชั้นที่ 2, 3 และ4 ที่ได้รับการยอมรับจากครู ผู้ปกครองและนักเรียน กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือครู ผู้ปกครองและ นักเรียนในจังหวัดสงขลา พัทลุง และยะลา จำนวนกลุ่มละ 150 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้คือแบบสอบถามความต้องการ การเรียนการสอนเพศศึกษา และแนวคำถามปลายเปิดเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการจัดทำหลักสูตรเพศศึกษา วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยใช้สถิติร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าเอฟ (F-test) และการทดสอบ ความแตกต่าง รายคู่ด้วยวิธีการของเชฟเฟ่ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพด้วยวิธีวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงเนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ครูมีคะแนน เฉลี่ยความต้องการการเรียนการสอนเพศศึกษาในระดับสูงมาก ( X = 2.56) ผู้ปกครองและนักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ย ความต้องการการเรียนการสอนเพศศึกษาในระดับสูง (= 2.09, และ = 2.02) ครู ผู้ปกครองและนักเรียนมีค่าเฉลี่ย ความต้องการการเรียนการสอนเพศศึกษาแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p <.05) สำหรับหลักสูตรเพศศึกษา ในชว่ งชั้นที่ 2 พบวา่ ครู ผูป้ กครองและนักเรียนตอ้ งการใหส้ อนเนื้อหาเพื่อใหนั้กเรียน มีความรูเ้ รื่องเพศในเชิงปอ้ งกัน ปัญหาทางเพศและการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ก่อนวัยอันควร ช่วงชั้นที่ 3 เป็นเนื้อหา ที่ทำให้นักเรียนรู้เรื่องเพศอย่างถูกต้อง และเข้าใจมากขึ้น และช่วงชั้นที่ 4 เน้นเนื้อหาการเตรียมตัวเป็นผู้ใหญ่ที่ดี และการแก้ปัญหาเมื่อมีเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่ คาดคิดเกิดขึ้น
