Abstract

The legends of Pattani are historic data describing the history of Pattani. The manuscripts in Malay of Pattani legends are fundamental data of Pattani history for example ,Sajarah Kerajaan Malayu Pattani , Hikayat Kedah et. The contents of these manuscripts are very valuable to the study of Pattani foundation until Ratanakosin period. In addition , the essentials of these legends can be additional information for studying Thai history involuing with other cities in Malay Peninsula. As these legends were based on Malay and foreigner’ records , they can give different views and reasons toward the historical.

บทคัดย่อ
ตำนานเมืองปัตตานี เป็นข้อมูลทางประวัติศาสตร์ที่อธิบายความเป็นมาของราชอาณาจักรปัตตานีในยุคประวัติศาสตร์ การบันทึกตำนานเมืองปัตตานีเป็นการรวบรวมเบื้องต้นจากการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ปัตตานีประเภทเอกสารภาษามลายูถิ่น เช่น สยาเราะห์กรียาอันมลายูปัตตานี อะเคยะเกด๊ะ เป็นต้น เนื้อหาของตำนานมีคุณค่ายิ่งต่อการศึกษาเรื่องราวประวัติศาสตร์ปัตตานีในยุคการสร้างเมืองปัตตานีจนถึงสมัยรัตนโกสินทร์ นอกจากนี้ความสำคัญของตำนานยังเป็นข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมสำหรับศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ไทยกับเมืองต่าง ๆ บนแหลมมลายู การที่ตำนานเมืองปัตตานีเขียนจากมุมมองมลายูท้องถิ่น และเรียบเรียงจากหลักฐานมลายู รวมทั้งบันทึกชาวต่างชาติย่อมให้แง่คิดในการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ปัตตานีที่เขียนถึงความหลากหลายในการอธิบาย และให้เหตุผลต่อประวัติศาสตร์ที่ผ่านมา
