แนวคิดทางปรัชญาในภูมิปัญญาชาวบ้าน: กรณีศึกษา ตำราพระพิไชยสงครามฉบับท้องถิ่นภาคใต้วัดมุจลินทวาปีวิหาร
Philosophical Concepts in Folk Wisdom : Case Study of Muchalindavapivihans Version of Southern Thai Treatise on War Strategy

Abstract
This research focused on philosophical thoughts concerning folk wisdom as reflected in Thai Treatise on War Strategy. The data were gathered from ancient documents and interviews with astrological experts in Southern and central regions of Thailand. It was found that there were two aspects of folk wisdom. The first one was about folk wisdom deriving from the beliefs of Brahmanism and Buddhism including the directions of the serpents head and tail, the angels of each direction as well as from the beliefs of ancient Thais including Philuang and iron javelins. The beliefs in these holies were employed to raise the confidence of soldiers leading to the armys success; accordingly with the political philosophy of Machiavelli that employed the religious beliefs to persuade the people to obey the governments laws. The second aspect was about folk wisdom deriving from astrological beliefs. The directions of Uranus, Rahu, Kalathai, Mars, Saturn and legends of the angels of each planet were used to determine the right time for the mobilization an army, and were applied in the treatise on War Strategy including the animals of the eight directions, yayi Nakhorn times, Kamsaiplode time, the eight sections of the day and the time sections decided by shadow lenghts . Such conceptual integration was the astrologers wisdom deriving from the observation of planetary orbits and the records of important events during that time for the best prediction in a certain situation; it was the knowledge by acquaintance and by induction. Astrological beliefs supported the metaphysical outlook that used the planets to determine the situations. Moreover, these beliefs conveyed a deterministic and fatalistic views. The two aspects of folk wisdom played a crucial psychological role to raise the morale of the commander-in-chief and Soldiers.

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้มุง่ ศึกษาวิเคราะหแ์ นวคิดทางปรัชญา ในภูมิปญั ญาชาวบา้ นที่ปรากฏในตำราพระพิไชยสงคราม โดยศึกษาเอกสารโบราณและการสัมภาษณ์ผู้รู้ใน ท้องถิ่นภาคใต้และภาคกลาง ผลการศึกษาสามารถ จำแนกภูมิปญั ญาชาวบา้ นได  2 ลักษณะ คือ 1) ภูมิปญั ญา ชาวบ้านอันเกิดจากความเชื่อของศาสนาพราหมณ์ และพุทธ มีเรื่องการหันหัวหางของพญานาค เทวดา ประจำทิศ และความเชื่อของชาวไทยโบราณ มีเรื่อง ผีหลวงและหลาวเหล็ก การนำสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์มาสร้าง ความเชื่อมั่นให้แก่เหล่าทหารย่อมนำความสำเร็จมา สูก่ องทัพ ทำนองเดียวกับแนวคิดทางปรัชญาการเมือง ของแมคเคียเวลลี่ที่นำความเชื่อทางศาสนามาเป็น ศิลปะชักจูงจิตใจพลเมืองให้เชื่อฟังกฎหมายรัฐ และ 2) ภูมิปัญญาชาวบ้านอันเกิดจากความเชื่อทาง โหราศาสตร์นำการโคจรของดาวมฤตยู ราหู กาละไท อังคาร เสาร์ และตำนานเทวดานพเคราะห์ มากำหนด ฤกษ์ยามในการยาตรากองทัพและประยุกต์ใช้ในการพิไชยสงคราม มีเรื่องสัตว์ประจำทิศทั้ง 8 ยามยายี นาคร ยามกำใสปลอด ยามอัฏฐกาล และยามชั้นฉาย เหล่านี้ล้วนเกิดจากโหราจารย์ท่านสังเกตการโคจร ของดวงดาวแต่ละดวงแล้วพิจารณาว่ามีเหตุการณ์ สำคัญใดเกิดขึ้นและเก็บรวบรวมเป็นข้อมูล พร้อม ตีความหมายเพื่อพยากรณ ์ ซึ่งญาณวิทยาจัดเปน็ ความรู้ โดยความคุ้นเคย (Knowledge by Acquaintance) และ การใชวิ้ธีอุปนัย (Induction) ความเชื่อทางโหราศาสตร์ ได้ตอบปัญหาทางอภิปรัชญาโดยกล่าวถึงดวงดาว เป็นตัวบ่งบอกเหตุการณ์ จัดอยู่ในกลุ่มลัทธินิยัตินิยม (Determinism) และชะตานิยม (fatalism) ภูมิปัญญา ชาวบ้านทั้ง 2 ลักษณะมุ่งให้เกิดคุณค่าด้านการสร้าง ขวัญและกำลังใจแก่แม่ทัพนายกองและเหล่าทหาร หรือเรียกได้ว่าเป็นปฏิบัติการทางจิตวิทยา
