Abstract
This research was intended 1) to compare the number of biased items found in a Mathematics Test between Mantel - Haenszel Method and The Item Characteristic Curve Method 2) to study the consistency of index number between Mantel - Haenszel Method and The Item Characteristic Curve Method and 3) to compare the reliability coefficients of the Test between Mantel - Haenszel Method and The Item Characteristic Curve Method of analysis where the biased items were deleted. The subjects were 1,122 grade 5 students during the academic year 2007 of Pattani Educational Area 2. There were selected by stratified random sampling using groups of students who used Thai language in their daily life and those who used Pattani Malay Dialect in their daily life as strata and using schools as sampling units. The instrument for data collection was a multiple-choice Mathematics Test consisting of 40 items of Pattani Educational Area 2. The research result found: 1) The Mantel-Haenszel Method yielded higher number of biased items than The Item Characteristic Curve Method at .05 level. 2) The index numbers of Mantel-Haenszel Method and The Item Characteristic Curve Method were significantly related at .05 level with high correlation coefficient. 3) The reliability coefficient of the test after deleting biased items using The Mantel-Haenszel Method and The Item Characteristic Curve Method were not different at .05 level

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ อ1) เปรียบเทียบจำนวนของแบบทดสอบที่ ตรวจพบความลำเอียงจากการวิเคราะห์ ระหว่างวิธีแมนเทล-แฮนส์เซลและวิธีโค้งลักษณะข้อสอบ 3 พารามิเตอร์ 2) ศึกษาความสอดคล้องของดัชนีความลำเอียง จากการวิเคราะห์ระหว่างวิธีแมนเทล-แฮนส์เซลและวิธีโค้งลักษณะข้อสอบ 3 พารามิเตอร์ และ 3) เปรียบเทียบความ เชื่ อมั่ นของแบบทดสอบหลังจากคัดเลือกข้อสอบข้อที่มีความลำเอียงออก ระหว่างวิธีแมนเทล-แฮนส์เซลและวิธี โค้งลักษณะข้อสอบ 3 พารามิเตอร์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนชั้ นประถมศึกษาปีที่5 ปีการศึกษา 2550 สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาปัตตานี เขต 2 จำนวน 1,122 คน ได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้ นภูมิ (Stratified Random Sampling) โดยภาษาที่ ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันเป็นชั้ น(Strata) และโรงเรียนเป็นหน่วยการสุ่ม (Sampling Unit) เครื่ องมือที่ ใช้เป็น แบบทดสอบกลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้คณิตศาสตร์ ชนิดเลือกตอบ 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 40 ข้อ สร้างโดยคณะกรรมการ สร้างข้อสอบสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาปัตตานี เขต 2 ซึ่งผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) วิธีแมนเทล-แฮนส์เซลตรวจพบจำนวนข้อสอบที่มีความลำเอียงมากกว่าวิธีโค้งลักษณะข้อสอบ 3 พารามิเตอร์ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ ระดับ .05 2) ดัชนีความลำเอียงจากการวิเคราะห์ด้วยวิธีแมนเทล-แฮนส์เซลและวิธีโค้งลักษณะข้อสอบ 3 พารามิเตอร์ มีความสอดคล้องกันสูง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ ระดับ .05 3) ค่าความเชื่ อมั่ นของแบบทดสอบหลังจากคัดเลือก ข้อสอบที่มีความลำเอียงออกจากการวิเคราะห์ด้วยวิธีแมนเทล-แฮนส์เซลและวิธีโค้งลักษณะข้อสอบ 3 พารามิเตอร์ ไม่แตกต่างกัน
