Factors Affecting Employment Opportunities for Insured Unemployed Workers

Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this research was to study the external and internal causative factors affecting employment opportunities for unemployed insured workers in Songkhla Province. The systematic sampling was used to get the samples of 390 unemployed insured workers registered at Songkhla employment service offices at Muang and Hat Yai districts. Among them, there are 73 employed, and 317 unemployed workers at the study time. The instrument used was the questionnaire. The statistics used are percentage, mean, standard deviation and logistic regression analysis. The results showed that in investigating the external causative factors, the unemployed insured workers who graduated at the lower secondary school level or other lower levels had higher employment opportunities than other levels while gender and the causes of unemployment did not relate to the employment opportunities. Regarding the internal causative factors, work interest and worker seeking job behavior, it was found that some of the unemployed insured workers were interested in handicraft and outdoor work had higher employment opportunities than other works. In worker seeking behavior, the worker who sought for advanced knowledge and working skills just after their graduation, sought news about job application from the government employment service offices, and help of those unemployed workers relatives or friends working as officials or service people in the work places had higher employment opportunities.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยเชิงสาเหตุภายนอก และปัจจัยเชิงสาเหตุภายใน ที่มีผลต่อโอกาส ในการมีงานทำ และการว่างงานของผู้ประกันตนกรณีว่างงานในจังหวัดสงขลา โดยทำการศึกษากลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้ประกัน ตนกรณีว่างงานที่มารายงานตัว ณ สำนักงานจัดหางานจังหวัดสงขลา และสำนักงานจัดหางานจังหวัดสงขลา สาขาหาดใหญ่ เป็นระยะเวลา 30 วัน ทำการ ได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งสิ้น 390 คน แบ่งเป็นผู้ที่มีงานทำแล้ว 73 คน และยัง ว่างงาน 317 คน โดยใช้วิธีสุ่มอย่างมีระบบ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลคือ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยโลจิสติก ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัจจัยเชิงสาเหตุภายนอก ได้แก่ เพศ และสาเหตุการออกจากงาน ไม่มีผลต่อโอกาสในการได้งานทำ ส่วนปัจจัยด้าน การศึกษา พบว่าผู้ประกันตนที่สำเร็จการศึกษาในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น หรือต่ำกว่า มีโอกาสได้งานทำมากกว่า ผู้ที่สำเร็จการศึกษาในระดับอื่น สำหรับปัจจัยเชิงสาเหตุภายใน ได้แก่ ความสนใจในอาชีพ และพฤติกรรมการหางาน ทำ พบว่า ความสนใจในอาชีพช่างฝีมือ และงานกลางแจ้ง มีโอกาสได้งานทำมากกว่าความสนใจในอาชีพประเภทอื่น ส่วนพฤติกรรมการหางานทำซึ่งแบ่งเป็น 3 ด้าน คือ ด้านการเตรียมตัว ด้านการแสวงหาข่าวสารการรับสมัครงาน และด้านวิธีการสมัครงาน พบว่า พฤติกรรมที่มีผลให้ผู้ประกันตนมีโอกาสได้งานทำ คือ การเตรียมตัวหาความรู้และ ฝึกทักษะต่าง ๆ เพิ่มเติมเมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษา การแสวงหาข่าวสารการรับสมัครงานจากสำนักงานจัดหางานของรัฐ และวิธีการสมัครงานโดยมีญาติหรือเพื่อนฝากให้
