อิทธิพลของบริบททางสังคมต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกศึกษาต่อสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 6
The Influences of Social Context towards High School Students in Making Decision to Continue Education in the Area of Science and Technology

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to investigate and to identify the influences of social context in making decision to continue education in the area of science and technology. By using a proportional stratified random sampling, 500 high school students studying in the 2005 academic year in Dusit district were selected for the study. Data collection was made by using the questionnaire and was analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, simple and logistic regression analysis. The findings were: 1) The factors having most influences were attitudes and interests towards science and technology, security and career progress, and facilities simultaneously, 2) The factors having negative effects were environment that had closed relationship to individual, tuition and fee, and gender simultaneously. It is recommended that, in terms of policy, school administrators should focus on studentsattitudes and interests towards science and technology.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ค้นหาและตรวจสอบอิทธิพลของบริบททางสังคมต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกศึกษา ต่อสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 6 ที่กำลังเรียนในปีการศึกษา 2548 สายวิทยาศาสตร์ คณิตศาสตร์ และสายศิลป์คำนวณ ในพื้นที่เขตดุสิต จำนวน 500 คน โดยการสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้นตาม สัดส่วน ใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ การวิเคราะห์ถดถอยอย่างง่าย และการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยโลจิสติค ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ปัจจัย ที่มีอิทธิพลมากที่สุดต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกศึกษาต่อสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี คือ ปัจจัยเจตคติและความสนใจ ทางด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี รองลงมา ปัจจัยด้านความมั่นคงและความก้าวหน้าในอาชีพ และปัจจัยด้านสิ่ง อำนวยความสะดวก 2) ปัจจัยที่มีผลในทางลบต่อการตัดสินใจของนักเรียน ได้แก่ ปัจจัยด้านภาวะแวดล้อมที่ใกล้ชิด ตัวบุคคล ปัจจัยด้านค่าธรรมเนียมการเรียน และปัจจัยเพศ ตามลำดับ จากข้อค้นพบข้างต้นนี้ทำให้เกิดข้อเสนอแนะ ในเชิงนโยบายให้ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาตระหนักว่าถ้าต้องการเพิ่มจำนวนนักศึกษาในสาขาวิชานี้ควรทุ่มเทไปที่ การเพิ่มเจตคติและความสนใจทางด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีของนักเรียนให้มากขึ้นอย่างยิ่ง
