Occupational Development in Islamic Schools/Pondoks/Communities in the Area of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat Provinces: Project Evaluation

Abstract
The purposes of this project were to evaluate outcomes in accordance with the objectives of the project and to find out the problems in running the project which implemented in three southern border provinces. The sample were 1,336 respondents from 4,989 population in three provinces by proportion stratified random sampling. Questionnaires and interview were used for data gathering. Quantitative data was analyzed by descriptive statistics. Qualitative data from observation and focus group discussion was analyzed by using content analysis. Findings: 1) the outcomes in accordance with the objectives of the project in three activities was well done in dimension of input, process and outputs. The target groups were school administrators/occupational trainers and the trainees of three provinces felt full satisfaction. Songklanakarin J. of Social Science & Humanities really need to have the occupational development for the youths in the school. The youths could utilized the experiences from training in daily life and earn their living in future. 2) The problems in running the project was the rapid implementing cause to time limited for project preparation and unrest situation in the areas created difficulties and security. The problem with administration were lagging of materials, equipments and some of materials were low quality.

บทคัดย่อ
วัตถุประสงค์ของการประเมินโครงการนี้มี 2 ประการ คือ เพื่อศึกษาผลการดำเนินงานตามวัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการ ในมิติของปัจจัยเบื้องต้น กระบวนการดำเนินงาน ผลผลิต และเพื่อศึกษาปัญหา อุปสรรคและ ข้อเสนอแนะในการดำเนินงาน กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 1,336 คน โดยการสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้นอย่างมีสัดส่วนตามจังหวัด จากประชากร 4,989 คน ในจังหวัดยะลา ปัตตานี และนราธิวาส เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือแบบสอบถามและแบบสัมภาษณ์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ส่วนข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพใช้วิธีวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาจากข้อมูลที่ได้จากแบบบันทึกการสังเกต และการสนทนากลุ่ม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ด้านผลการดำเนินการ เป็นไปได้ด้วยดีทั้งปัจจัยเบื้องต้น กระบวนการ และผลผลิต กลุ่มเป้าหมายทั้งสามจังหวัดมีความต้องการพัฒนาอาชีพในโรงเรียนสูงมาก ได้รับความรู้และมีความพึงพอใจมาก เยาวชนสามารถนำความรู้ไปใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันและประกอบอาชีพในอนาคตได้ ส่วนปัญหาอุปสรรค คือความเร่งด่วนของโครงการ ทำให้มีเวลาการเตรียมการจำกัด ปัญหาสถานการณ์ความไม่สงบในพื้นที่ทำให้ยากลำบากและเสี่ยงภัยในการดำเนินงาน และปัญหาวัสดุอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้ฝึกอบรมในสถานที่ฝึกอบรมบางแห่งมีไม่เพียงพอและด้อยคุณภาพใช้การไม่ได้
