พัฒนาการทุนนิยมกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคมหมู่บ้าน :บทสำรวจและข้อสังเกตบางประการ

Abstract
บทบาทนี้เป็นการสำรวจผลงานการศึกษาและวิจัยเกี่ยวกับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพัฒนาการทุนนิยมกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคมหมู่บ้านในชนบทของประเทศไทย การสำรวจได้จัดแบ่งกลุ่มผลงานการศึกษาออกเป็น 3 กลุ่ม โดยอาศัยประเด็นปัญหาเชิงทฤษฎีและการวิจัยที่สำคัญ ๆ เป็นเกณฑ์ คือกลุ่มที่ศึกษาระดับมหภาคเกี่ยวกับอิทธิพลและผลกระทบของทุนนิยมต่อสังคมชนบทและชุมชนชาวนา กลุ่มที่ศึกษาโครงสร้างและการเปลี่ยนแปลงฐานะความเป็นอยู่ของกลุ่มชนชั้นในชนบทและกลุ่มที่ศึกษาบทบาทและอำนาจเชิงอุดมการณ์ของรัฐในชนบท ทั้งนี้เพื่อความสะดวกในการพิจารณาวิเคราะห์และอภิปรายวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ประเด็นปัญหาสำคัญ ๆ ในด้านแนวคิดทฤษฎี ผลการศึกษาและนัยของการศึกษาของผลงานเหล่านี้ ผลการสำรวจพบว่าแม้ว่านักวิชาการหลายคนจะพยายามพิจารณาและวิเคราะห์การเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคมในวงกว้าง แต่ก็มักจะให้ความสำคัญกับอิทธิพลและผลการทบเชิงโครงสร้างในระดับมหภาคจนมองข้ามพลวัต ศักยภาพ และการปรับเปลี่ยนของชุมชนหมู่บ้านไป บทความนี้เสนอแนะให้นักวิชาการหันมาสนใจและเอาใจใส่ประเด็นปัญหาเรื่องศักยภาพและความสามารถในการปรับเปลี่ยนและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของชาวบ้าน กลุ่มองค์กรและชุมชนหมู่บ้านภายใต้บริบทของกระแสการปรับเปลี่ยนของระบบทุนนิยมโลกและทุนนิยมประเทศให้จริงจังมากขึ้น ทั้งนี้เพื่อทำความเข้าใจและหาทางออกให้กับปัญหาท้าทายต่าง ๆ ในชนบทปัจจุบัน คำสำคัญ : พัฒนาการทุนนิยม โครงสร้างและการเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคมชนบท ชุมชนหมู่บ้าน สังคมชนบท ชนชั้นและกลุ่มอำนาจในชนบท รัฐและการเปลี่ยนแปลงในชนบท This article attempts to make a survey of studies of studies and research on relationships between capitalist development and changes in communities of rural Thailand. Of particularly relevant are those that give visibility to the impact of world capitalist development, the structural differentiation of village community, and the ideological role of state intervention. Theoretical approaches empirical findings and practical implications of these studies are highlighted and critically discussed. It is contended that despite efforts by many scholars to situate local changes within a broader socio-economic transformation process, too much emphasis has been paid to the structural effect of capitalism at the expense of local dynamic and adaptability. It is further suggested that a shifting focus and more attention on the role of human agency in change and transformation process of village community within a context of current restructuring of global and national capitalism are urgently needed in order to understand and to meet the challenge of the current rural crisis.
