การใช้ห้องสมุดของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี

Abstract
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจการใช้ห้องสมุดของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี เพื่อทราบถึงการใช้ทรัพยากรห้องสมุด และวัตถุประสงค์ในการเข้าใช้ห้องสมุดของนักศึกษา รวมถึงวิธีการและปัญหาในการสืบค้นทรัพยากรห้องสมุด อีกทั้งเพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการเสนอแนะห้องสมุดในการจัดหาทรัพยากรห้องสมุด และเพื่อการปรับปรุงแก้ไขปัญหาต่าง ๆ ให้ตรงตามความต้องการของผู้ใช้บริการ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้คือ นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานีทั้ง 3 คณะ และ 1 วิทยาลัย ได้แก่ คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ คณะศึกษาศาสตร์ และวิทยาลัยอิสลามศึกษา โดยใช้วิธีการแจกแบบสอบถามแก่นักศึกษาแต่ละคณะทุกชั้นปีที่เรียนวิชา 421-101 การใช้ห้องสมุดและทักษะการเรียนมาแล้ว รวมทั้งสิ้น 200 ชุด จำนวนแบบสอบถามที่ได้รับกลับมาคิดเป็นร้อยละ 92.5 ข้อมูลที่ได้จากแบบสอบถามได้นำมาวิเคราะห์และเสนอในรูปของจำนวนร้อยละ ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ 1. ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 64.9 มีอายุ 20 ปีขึ้นไป คิดเป็นร้อยละ 72.4 เป็นนักศึกษาวิทยาลัยอิสลามศึกษา คิดเป็นร้อยละ 27.1 เป็นนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 2 คิดเป็นร้อยละ 29.7 2. สภาพการใช้ห้องสมุดโดยทั่วไป นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่เข้าใช้ห้องสมุดเกือบทุกวัน ส่วนใหญ่มีอายุ 20 ปีขึ้นไป และเป็นนักศึกษาคณะศึกษาศาสตร์และวิทยาลัยอิสลามศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 2 ชอบเข้าใช้ห้องสมุดช่วงเวลาว่างระหว่างชั่วโมงเรียนมากที่สุด และมีเวลาในการเข้าใช้ห้องสมุดอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และนักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่มีความคิดเห็นว่า ห้องสมุดมีความสำคัญต่อการศึกษาอยู่ในระดับมาก 3. นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่มีวัตถุประสงค์เข้าใช้ห้องสมุดเพื่ออ่านหนังสือหรือตำราทางวิชาการ รองลงมาคือ เพื่ออ่านวารสาร หนังสือพิมพ์ รวมทั้งเข้ามาทบทวนบทเรียนแต่ละวิชา และเข้ามาเพื่อทำงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายจากอาจารย์ผู้สอนนักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่เรียนรู้วิธีการใช้ห้องสมุดจากการเรียนรายวิชา 421-101 การใช้ห้องสมุดและทักษะการเรียน รองลงมาคือ เรียนรู้การใช้ห้องสมุดจากโรงเรีนมัธยาศึกษาและเรียนรู้โดยการขอคำแนะนำจากบุคลากรของห้องสมุด 4. นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ใช้วิธีการสืบค้นสารนิเทศจากฐานข้อมูลต่าง ๆ ของห้องสมุด รองลงมาคือ การสืบค้นจากตู้บัตรรายการ และนักศึกษาสามารถค้นหาทรัพยากรห้องสมุดที่ต้องการในระดับมาก 5. ทรัพยากรห้องสมุดที่นักศึกษาใช้มากที่สุดคือ หนังสือ/ตำราทั่วไป รองลงมาคือ หนังสือพิมพ์ และวารสาร ตามลำดับ ส่วนทรัพยากรห้องสมุดที่นักศึกษาใช้น้อยที่สุดคือ ไมโครฟิช 6. ปัญหาที่พบได้แก่ ด้านทรัพยากรห้องสมุด, ด้านบุคลากรห้องสมุด, ด้านการบริการ, ด้านอาคารสถานที่ และด้านการประชาสัมพันธ์ห้องสมุด คำสำคัญ : การใช้ห้องสมุด, ทรัพยากรห้องสมุด, การสืบค้นสารนิเทศ, มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ The purpose of this research was to survey the library use of undergraduates at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, their objectives in using the library, the types of resources used as well as the methods and problems in retrieving library resources, so that suggestions for improvement in the acquisition process of library resources, and solutions to library patrons problems could be made. Questionnaires were administered to 200 undergraduates who enrolled in the course: 421-101 Use of Libraries and Study Skills, randomly selected from the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, The Faculty of Education, and the College of Islamic Studies. 92.5% of the completed questionnaires were returned. Percentages were used in data analysis. The findings were as follows : 1. The majority of the respondents or 64.9% were female. 72.4% were 20 year old or older. 27.1% were students from the College of Islamic Studies, and 29.7% were sophomores. 2. The majority of students used the library almost every day. Most of them were 20 years old or older and were sophomores in the Faculty of Education and College of Islamic studies. Their most favorite time for library use was during class recess; the time spent there was at a moderate level. Most students recognized the library as significant to their studies, at a high level. 3. Most students came to the library to read textbooks or books in general. Others came to the library to read journals, magazines and newspapers, to review lessons as well as to do class assignments. Most students acquired knowledge of library use from the course 421.101 (Use of Libraries and Study Skills). Others acquired library skills from their former schools, and through information provided by the library staff. 4. Most students searched and retrieved information needed from the database resources available at the library, and from catalog cards. Students access to resources was at a high level. 5. Library resources most used by students were books and textbooks in general. Others were newspapers and magazines, respectively. Microfiches were least used. 6. The problems found included those related to library resources, library staff, services, buildings and facilities, and library public relations.
