การแปรของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายในภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอตามถิ่นที่อยู่และทัศนคติของผู้พูด
Variation by Final Consonants in Sgaw Karen by Speakers Residence Area and Language Attitude

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study the variation of the final consonant in open syllables () in Sgaw Karen by speakers residence area and language attitude. The data were collected by means of interviewing 60 bilingual (Sgaw Karen-Thai) informants from 2 residence areas 1) Ban Pa La-U, Amphoe Hua Hin, Changwat Prachuap Khiri Khan (30 informants) and 2) Ban Mae Ping, Amphoe Pai, Changwat Mae Hong Son (30 informants). In order to elicit 45 Sgaw Karen basic words, the informants were shown pictures, real objects or asked questions. The findings show that the variants of the final consonant in open syllables () are [[,][,]]The new variants of the final consonant () are []and []. Social factors were taken into consideration, and Chi-Square and Regression Analysis were analyzed, revealing that residence area and language attitude, are relevant to the new variants of the final consonant indicated statistically significant at 0.01 level. The emergence of the new variants in Sgaw Karen was found only in Ban Pa La-U and they correspond to the speakers language attitude. That is, the new variants of the final consonant were used by speakers who have positive attitude to the Thai language. In other words, the more positive the informants are, the more new variants they use.

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งศึกษาการแปรของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายในพยางค์เปิด () ในภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอตามถิ่นที่อยู่และทัศนคติของผู้พูด ผู้วิจัยเก็บข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์ผู้บอกภาษาชาวกะเหรี่ยงสะกอซึ่งเป็นผู้รู้สองภาษา ได้แก่ ภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอ (ภาษาแม่) และภาษาไทย จ􀃎ำนวน 60 คนจาก 2 ถิ่นที่อยู่ (ถิ่นละ 30 คน) ได้แก่ หมู่บ้านป่าละอู อ􀃎ำเภอหัวหิน จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ และหมู่บ้านแม่ปิง อ􀃎ำเภอปาย จังหวัดแม่ฮ่องสอน ผู้วิจัยให้ผู้บอกภาษาดูรูปภาพ ของจริง หรือถามค􀃎ำถาม เพื่อให้ได้ข้อมูลภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอซึ่งเป็นค􀃎ำศัพท์พื้นฐานจ􀃎ำนวน 45 ค􀃎ำผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลพบว่า ภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอมีรูปแปรของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายในพยางค์เปิด () ทั้งหมด 3 รูป ได้แก่ [[ ][ ]]โดยรูปแปร []เป็นรูปแปรดั้งเดิม ส่วนรูปแปร []และ []เป็นรูปแปรใหม่ของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายในภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอ เมื่อน􀃎ำตัวแปรทางสังคมเข้ามาพิจารณาโดยใช้วิธีการค􀃎ำนวณทางสถิติไคสแควร์ (Chi-Square) และการวิเคราะห์ถดถอย (Regression Analysis) พบว่า ตัวแปรทางสังคมทั้ง 2 ประการต่างมีความสัมพันธ์กับการใช้รูปแปรใหม่ของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายในภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอที่พูดที่หมู่บ้านป่าละอูอย่างมีนัยส􀃎ำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.01 ทั้งนี้ พบอัตราการปรากฏของรูปแปรใหม่ของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายในภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอแต่เพียงที่หมู่บ้านป่าละอูเท่านั้น ไม่พบอัตราการปรากฏของรูปแปรใหม่ของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายในภาษากะเหรี่ยงสะกอที่พูดที่หมู่บ้านแม่ปิง และการปรากฏของรูปแปรใหม่ของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายมีความสัมพันธ์ในทิศทางเดียวกันกับทัศนคติของผู้พูด กล่าวคือ รูปแปรใหม่ของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายจะถูกใช้มากโดยผู้พูดที่มีทัศนคติบวกต่อภาษาไทย ยิ่งผู้พูดมีทัศนคติบวกต่อภาษาไทยมากเท่าใดยิ่งพบอัตราการปรากฏของรูปแปรใหม่ของเสียงพยัญชนะท้ายมากขึ้นเท่านั้น
