Abstract

This study uses qualitative research approach aiming at looking into the sex value of female teen students in urban area of Pattani. Samples were teens aged 12-16 years old under educational system. They either have boyfriends or used to have ones. The Snowball technique was used to recruit nine informans. Data were collected during December 2009 to February 2010, using a variety of methods : an in-depth interview with the subjects and related individuals, participant observation in some contexts of the subjects’ life styles and non-participatory observation. Data were analysed using categorization and grouping and then summed up and presented in accordance with the research objectives. Summary was constructed and presented using descriptive analysis. The findings were: female teen students in the study viewed sexual relationship as a common preference, having fun but without further obligation. The concept of virginity was viewed as oldfashioned. Dating or having different boy/girl friends to choose from was a new trend of alternative at present. Media and technology served as a means to speed up the relationship. Peer valu has more influence on teens than value social. The teens also accepted homosexuality as a personal sex preference and thought that adults should not complain about it.

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาค่านิยมทางเพศของนักเรียน วัยรุ่นหญิงในเขตเมือง จังหวัดปัตตานี ผู้ให้ข้อมูล เป็นนักเรียนวัยรุ่นหญิงอายุ 12-16 ปี อยู่ในระบบ การศึกษา กำลังมีคนรักหรือเคยมีคนรัก ผู้ให้ข้อมูลได้ รับการคัดเลือกโดยใช้โปรแกรม Snowball Technique รวมจำนวน 9 ราย เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลระหว่างเดือน ธันวาคม 2552 ถึงกุมภาพันธ์ 2553 ด้วยวิธีการที่ หลากหลาย ได้แก่ การสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึกกับกลุ่ม ผู้ให้ข้อมูลและผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้อง การสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วม ในบางบริบทของวิถีการดำเนินชีวิตของนักเรียนวัยรุน่ หญิง และการสังเกตแบบไม่มีส่วนร่วม การวิเคราะห์ ข้อมูลใช้การจำ แนกและจัดหมวดหมู่ของข้อมูล ประมวลและแสดงข้อมูลให้สอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ การศึกษา จากนั้นสร้างข้อสรุปและนำเสนอข้อมูลโดย การพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัย พบว่า นักเรียน วัยรุ่นหญิงมีค่านิยมต่อการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ว่าเป็นเรื่อง ปกติธรรมดาตามแบบฉบับของความรักสนุกแต่ไม่ ผูกพัน ค่านิยมการรักนวลสงวนตัวเป็นเรื่องล้าสมัย ค่านิยมความรักเผื่อเลือกเป็นทางเลือกใหม่ในปัจจุบัน สื่อและเทคโนโลยีมีคุณค่าในการช่วยเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ อันรวดเร็วค่านิยมของกลุ่มเพื่อนมีอิทธิพลมากกว่า ค่านิยมของสังคม รวมทั้งให้การยอมรับค่านิยมพฤติกรรม รักร่วมเพศว่าเป็นเรื่องของรสนิยมส่วนบุคคล ผู้ใหญ่ ไม่ควรตำหนิ
