Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate a class of grade 12, 27 students’pre-conceptions in the topic of plant responses in first semester, academic year 2007 from Kasetsart University laboratory school. The instrument consists of eight open-ended questions on the concepts of auxin, gibberellin, cytokinin, ethylene, phototropism, gravitropism and biological clock. Each question was presented as a cartoon story investigation, then the results show that the majority of student (>50 percent) held complete misconception for all concepts (the gravitropism is the most complete misconception with 96.30 percent) except ethylene, 70.37 percent of students held the scientific conception. The highest percentage of students holding no response was found in gibberellin with 77.79 percent.

บทคัดย่อ
บทคัดย่อ การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจแนวคิดในเรื่องการตอบสนองของพืชของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 จำนวน 27 คนที่เรียนวิชาชีววิทยา ในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2550 โรงเรียนสาธิตแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นแบบสำรวจแนวคิดเรื่องการตอบสนองของพืช ซึ่งผู้วิจัยนำเสนอในรูปแบบการ์ตูน ประกอบเรื่องราว เพื่อสำรวจแนวคิดเรื่องการตอบสนองต่อออกซิน จิบเบอเรลลิน ไซโทไคนิน เอทิลีน การตอบสนอง อยา่ งมีทิศทางตอ่ แสง แรงโนม้ ถว่ งของโลก และนาฬกิ าชีวภาพที่มีอยูต่ ามธรรมชาติภายในพืช จำนวน 8 ขอ้ ผูวิ้จัยทำการ วิเคราะหข์ อ้ มูลโดยการวิเคราะหเ์ นื้อหาแนวคิดในแตล่ ะขอ้ และจัดกลุม่ แนวคิด ผลการวิจัยพบวา่ นักเรียนสว่ นใหญม่ ากกวา่ ร้อยละ 50 มีแนวคิดคลาดเคลื่อน (Complete misconception: CM) ในทุกแนวคิด โดยแนวคิดที่นักเรียนมีความเข้าใจ คลาดเคลื่อนมากที่สุดคือ แนวคิดเรื่องการตอบสนองอย่างมีทิศทางต่อแรงโน้มถ่วงของโลก คิดเป็นร้อยละ 96.30 ยกเว้น แนวคิดเรื่องเอทิลีน พบว่า นักเรียนร้อยละ 70.3 มีแนวคิดที่สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดเชิงวิทยาศาสตร์ นอกจากนี้ แนวคิดเรื่อง จิบเบอเรลลิน มีนักเรียนร้อยละ 77.79 ที่ไม่แสดงแนวคิดในเรื่องนี้
