Abstract

The university supervisor plays a key role in the development of learning opportunities for the student teachers that will enable them to reach their potential as an effective and creative novice. This research, which is a part of a larger research project titled ‘A Student Teacher Supervision Model: Enhancing Professional Development and Mentoring’, aims to study the role of university supervisors and their satisfaction with this role. The subjects included 27 cooperating teachers, 7 university supervisors, and 33 student teachers. The data were obtained through a combination of questionnaires and interviews. Analytic induction was used to analyze qualitative data. The results from the study showed that the university supervisors express the roles of observer and feedback provider, counselor, evaluator, and liaison by giving student teachers observations, and feedback, counseling, assessing and serving as a liaison between the university and the associate school and found their roles to be satisfying. This study recommends that working effectively by a university supervisor requires collaboration between the teacher education institute and the associate school.

บทคัดย่อ
อาจารย์นิเทศก์มีบทบาทสำคัญในการพัฒนาโอกาสการเรียนรู้ของนิสิตครู ซึ่งบทบาทนี้สามารถทำให้นิสิตครู แสดงศักยภาพของครูใหม่ที่มีประสิทธิภาพและสร้างสรรค์ งานวิจัยเรื่องนี้ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการวิจัยเรื่อง รูปแบบการนิเทศนิสิตปฎิบัติการสอน: การส่งเสริมการพัฒนาวิชาชีพและการเป็นพี่เลี้ยงนิสิตปฎิบัติการสอน มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทหน้าที่ของอาจารย์นิเทศก์และความพึงพอใจในบทบาทหน้าที่นั้น กลุ่มที่ศึกษา ได้แก่ ครูพี่เลี้ยงจำนวน 27 คน อาจารย์นิเทศก์ 7 คน และนิสิตปฎิบัติการสอน 33 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามและการ สัมภาษณ์ในการรวบรวมข้อมูล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การสร้างข้อสรุปแบบอุปนัย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า อาจารย์นิเทศก์ แสดงบทบาทของผู้สังเกตและผู้ให้ข้อมูลย้อนกลับ ผู้แนะแนว ผู้ประเมิน และผู้ประสานงาน และทำหน้าที่ในการ สังเกตการสอนและให้ข้อมูลย้อนกลับกับนิสิตปฎิบัติการสอน แนะแนวนิสิต ประเมินการสอน และประสานงาน ระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยและโรงเรียนร่วมผลิตครู และแสดงความพึงพอใจในการเป็นอาจารย์นิเทศก์ การวิจัยนี้ให้ ข้อเสนอแนะว่าเพื่อให้อาจารย์นิเทศก์ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพต้องมีความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันผลิตครู และโรงเรียนร่วมผลิตครู
