Abstract

The objectives of this research were to comparatively investigate the use of electronic journals among students as well as among faculty members on the Pattani campus, Prince of Songkla University and their opinions on the service management of the Office of Academic Services. The investigation instrument was a questionnaire to collect data. The sample consisted of 260 users. The main findings were: 1) For the student sample, 155 subjects had used e-journals, whereas 28 had never. The objective of using was to find information for their reports assignments, their access point was the John F. Kennedy Library. The information form used the abstract. 2) Regarding the faculty member sample, 62 subjects had used e-journals and 15 had never. Their objective of using was primarily for their research, the access point was their department office or faculty. Similar to the students,they learned to use e-journals and work on their own. The major information form they use was the abstract.3)In the students opinions on e-journal service management and the promotion of it were at the high level. In the comparative study of students variables, no difference in opinion was found. When focusing on aspects, there were both similar and different opinions. 4) In the faculty opinions on e-journal service management was at the high level, but the promotion of its services was at the moderate level. In the comparative study of the staffs variables, no difference in opinion was found. When focusing on aspects, there were both similar and different opinions.

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบการใช้วารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์และความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษา อาจารย์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี ที่มีต่อการจัดการในการให้บริการวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ของ ฝ่ายหอสมุดจอห์น เอฟ เคนเนดี้ สำนักวิทยบริการ โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการวิจัย ใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่าง 260 คน ผลการศึกษา พบว่า 1) นักศึกษาเคยใช้วารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ จำนวน 155 คน และไม่เคยใช้ จำนวน 28 คน โดย นักศึกษาที่เคยใช้นั้นมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการใช้เพื่อทำรายงาน/การบ้าน มีสถานที่ที่ใช้ คือ หอสมุดจอห์น เอฟ เคนเนดี้ มีรูปแบบของสารสนเทศจากวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่นำมาใช้ ในรูปแบบบทคัดย่อ 2) อาจารย์เคยใช้วารสาร อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ จำนวน 62 คน และไม่เคยใช้ จำนวน 15 คน โดยอาจารย์ที่เคยใช้นั้นมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการใช้เพื่อทำวิจัย มีสถานที่ที่ใช้ คือ ที่ทำงาน/ภาควิชา/คณะ มีรูปแบบของสารสนเทศจากวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่นำมาใช้ ในรูปแบบ บทคัดย่อ นอกจากนี้อาจารย์ยังมีวิธีการใช้และวิธีการเรียนรู้วิธีการใช้ด้วยตนเองเช่นเดียวกับนักศึกษา 3) นักศึกษา มีความคิดเห็นในด้านการบริการและการส่งเสริมบริการวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก และเมื่อเปรียบ เทียบตามตัวแปร พบว่าทุกตัวแปรมีความคิดเห็นโดยรวมไม่แตกต่างกัน และเมื่อพิจารณารายด้านพบว่า มีทั้งด้านที่ แตกต่างกันและไม่แตกต่างกัน 4) อาจารย์มีความคิดเห็นในด้านการบริการวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์โดยรวมในระดับมาก และด้านการส่งเสริมการบริการวารสารอิเล็กทรอนิกส์โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และเมื่อเปรียบเทียบตามตัวแปร พบว่า ทุกตัวแปรมีความคิดเห็นโดยรวมไม่แตกต่างกัน และเมื่อพิจารณารายด้านพบว่า มีทั้งด้านที่แตกต่างกันและไม่แตกต่างกัน
