Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study and compare opinions towards moral of students in the Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University on the Noble Eightfold Path (Right Understanding, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration). Data for this study were collected through a stratified random sampling of 290 students. The data were then analyzed using a number of statistical methods. It was found that morality of students, regardless of sex, was generally high in overall aspects. However, a difference level of morality, though not significantly, was found between male and female students. It was also found that there was a significant difference in level of morality among students of various years.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบความคิดเห็นด้านจริยธรรมของนักศึกษา คณะ โบราณคดี มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ตามหลักอริยมรรคมีองค์แปด จำแนกตามเพศ และระดับชั้นปี กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็น นักศึกษาของคณะโบราณคดี มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรในชั้นปีที่ 1 - 4 ในปีการศึกษา 2548 จำนวน 290 คน โดย การสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้น เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นด้านจริยธรรม มีค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ .92 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบที การวิเคราะห์ความ แปรปรวนแบบทางเดียว และการทดสอบความแตกต่างรายคู่โดยวิธีของเชฟเฟ่ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักศึกษามี จริยธรรมโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก นักศึกษาชายและหญิงมีจริยธรรมแตกต่างกันอย่างไม่มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ ระดับ .05 นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1, 2 และ 3 มีจริยธรรมแตกต่างจากนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่4 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ ระดับ .05
