Abstract

This research aimed (1) to study the perception of and participation in the quality assurance program by the personnel in the Department of Pathology, (2) to compare the perception of these personnel, (3) to investigate the relationship between the personnel’s sex, age, educational attainment, work experience, personnel category and their participation in the quality assurance activities, and (4) to identify problems and obstacles pertaining to the quality assurance program. The samples were 162 personnel in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University. A questionnaire was used in collecting the data. It was found that the personnel’s perception of the quality assurance program was at a high level. Their participation in the quality assurance activities was at a moderate level and related significantly to their category. Personnel of different categories perceived of the quality assurance program differently. Problems and obstacles pertaining to the quality assurance program included overloading of routine work, tension and health problems, and inability to participate fully and continually in the quality assurance activities due to time constraint.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษา ความรู้ความเข้าใจและการมีส่วนร่วมในระบบพัฒนาและประกันคุณภาพงานของบุคลากรภาควิชาพยาธิวิทยา 2) เปรียบเทียบระดับความรู้ความเข้าใจของบุคลากร 3) ศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ของการมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมพัฒนาตามตัวแปร เพศ อายุ การศึกษา ประสบการณ์และสายงาน และ 4) ศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการพัฒนาและประกันคุณภาพงาน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ บุคลากรสังกัดภาควิชาพยาธิวิทยา คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ จำนวน 162 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม ผลการศึกษาพบว่าความรู้ความเข้าใจของบุคลากรภาควิชาพยาธิวิทยาในระบบพัฒนาและประกับคุณภาพงานอยู่ในระดับสูง การมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง บุคลากรต่างสายงานกันมีความรู้ความเข้าใจในระบบพัฒนาและประกันคุณภาพงานแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ สายงานของบุคลากรมีความสัมพันธ์กับการมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรม ส่วนปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการพัฒนาและประกันคุณภาพงาน ได้แก่ การมีงานประจำมาก ความเครียดและปัญหาสุขภาพ และการไม่มีเวลาเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมอย่างเต็มที่และต่อเนื่อง
