Abstract
Think Aloud is a research technique which is
applied in various research areas, for example, the
studies in clinical psychology; cognitive process in
problem solving and decision making; reading,
writing, and translating strategies; and information
system, especially those relevant to Human
Computer Interaction (HCI). This article presents
provides knowledge of the Think Aloud technique
in several aspects, definition and development,
protocol types, advantages and limitations, as well
as implementation of the technique in information
system research. The article is expected be useful
to those who are interested in and considering using
Think Aloud in information system studies.
