Publication Policies Songklanakarin: Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is bimonthly (6 issues/year) Thailand national journal, published by Prince of Songkla University to promote and encourage the exchange of knowledge in the field of social sciences and humanities among Thai national scholars and worldwide. Contributions may be research articles, report of empirical studies, or review articles. Abstract of academic papers and book reviews are also exceptable. All articles are considered for publication in Songklanakarin with the undestanding that they have not been published else-where and are not currently being submitted for consideration in any other journals. All articles are assessed by specialists in their relevent fields (peer-reviewed) and must be approved by the aditorial board before being accepted for publication. Manuscripts All articles should be typed in either the Thai or English language and bear the following: 1) The title of the article and the authors name in both Thai and English. 2) The degree and professional title (if applicable) of each author. 3) The name of the institution and department of each author. 4) A short running title in both Thai and English. The articles must be presented with abstracts, no more than 250 words, and a maximum of 5 keywords in both Thai and English. The research work must include Introduction, Methodology, Result, Discussion, Conclusion and References. Others types of articles may have Introduction, content, Conclusion and References. Accompanied diagrams and photographs should be on separate sheets of paper. Photographs may be either colored or black and white prints, but should be of high contrast. Line-drawing should be made in Indian ink or print by laser printer. Citations and References This journal uses the author-date method of citation; that is the name or surname of the author(s) and the year publication are inserted in the text at the appropriate point. If the name of the author appears as part of narrative, cite only the year of publication in parentheses. Otherwise, place both the name and the year, separated by comma, in parentheses. The page number(s) may be cites as a specific part of a source. All the works cited in text with an author-date citation system must be listed alphabetically in the reference section in APA (American Psychological Association) style under a References heading. Examples of reference in APA style are as follow: 1. Books - Author(s). (Year of publication). Title(edition). Place of publication: Publisher. - Wagner, P. (1994). A sociology of modernity liberty and discipline. Great Britian: Mackays of Chatham PLC. 2. Chapters or other titled parts of a book - Author(s). (Year of Publication). Article or chapter title. Reprints Authors of articles published in Songklanakarin: Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities receive two complementary issues of the journal in which the article is published and ten reprints of the article (in Thailand only). The complementary issues and reprints will be given to the first author only in the case that many authors exits. นโยบายการจัดพิมพ์ วารสารสงขลานครินทร์ ฉบับสังคมศาสตร์และมนุษยศาสตร์ เป็นวารสารวิชาการอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ราย 2 เดือน (6 ฉบับต่อปี) มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์จัดพิมพ์ขึ้นเพื่อเป็นการส่งเสริมสนับสนุนให้คณาจารย์ ข้าราชการ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ และนักวิชาการทั่วไปทั้งในระดับชาติและระดับนานาชาติ ได้มีโอกาสเผยแพร่และแลกเปลี่ยนวิทยาการในสาขาสังคมศาสตร์และมนุษยศาสตร์อย่างกว้างขวาง ผลงานวิชาการที่รับตีพิมพ์อาจอยู่ในรูปแบบต่อไปนี้ บทความวิจัย บทความปริทัศน์ บทคัดย่อผลงานวิชาการ และบทวิจารณ์หนังสือ เป็นต้น นิพนธ์ต้นฉบับ (manuscript)ที่ส่งพิจารณาเพื่อตีพิมพ์ตกลงภายใต้เงื่อนไขว่าจะต้องไม่เคยเผยแพรในวารสาร เอกสารการประชุมวิชาการ หรือสิ่งพิมพ์ใดมาก่อน (ยกเว้น รายงานการวิจัย และวิทยานิพนธ์) และไม่อยู่ในระหว่างการพิจารณารอตีพิมพ์ในวารสารอื่น เรื่องที่ได้รับการตีพิมพ์ต้องผ่านการตรวจสอบจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิในสาขาวิชาที่เกี่ยวข้อง (peer-reviewed) และได้รับความเห็นชอบจากกองบรรณาธิการ การเตรียมต้นฉบับ ผลงานทางวิชาการที่รับพิจารณาตีพิมพ์ต้องพิมพ์เป็นภาษาไทยหรือภาษาอังกฤษ พิมพ์ต้นฉบับด้วยกระดาษขาวขนาดเอ 4 หน้าเดียว ผลงานวิชาการทุกประเภทต้องมีส่วนประกอบทั่วไปทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ ดังนี้ 1. ชื่อเรื่อง 2. ชื่อผู้เขียน (ครบทุกคน) 3. วุฒิการศึกษาขั้นสูงสุด และตำแหน่งทางวิชาการ(ถ้ามี) ของผู้เขียนครบทุกคน 4. สถานที่ทำงาน/หน่วยงานของผู้เขียนครบทุกคน ส่วนผลงานทางวิชาการประเภทบทความหรือบทความวิจัยต้องมีส่วนประกอบเพิ่มเติมคือ ต้องมีบทคัดย่อ (abstract)ทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ ความยาว 1 ย่อหน้า ไม่เกิน 250 คำ ท้ายบทคัดย่อให้ผู้เขียนกำหนดคำสำคัญ (keywords) สำหรับทำดัชนี เป็นภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ ไม่เกิน 5 คำ และให้จัดโครงสร้างของบทความโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งบทความวิจัยตามลำดับดังนี้คือ บทนำ วิธีการศึกษา ผลการศึกษา อภิปรายผล สรุป/ข้อเสนอแนะ และเอกสารอ้างอิง ส่วนบทความอื่น ๆ อาจมีบทนำ ส่วนเนื้อหา บทสรุป และเอกสารอ้างอิง ถ้าหากมีตารางหรือรูปประกอบ ต้องระบุลำดับและหัวข้อ รูปถ่ายอาจเป็นภาพสไลด์ ภาพสี ภาพขาวดำก็ได้ แต่ควรให้มีความขาว-ดำชัดเจน (มี contrast สูง) ภาพวาด ควรวาดด้วยหมึกอินเดียนหรือพิมพ์จากเครื่องพิมพ์เลเซอร์ ต้องแยกออกจากเนื้อเรื่อง หน้าละ 1 รายการ และให้ระบุว่าอยู่ในหัวข้อใดของเนื้อหา การอ้างอิงและการเขียนเอกสารอ้างอิง กรณีที่ผู้เขียนต้องการระบุแห่งที่มาของข้อมูลในเนื้อเรื่อง ให้ 1)ใช้วิธีการอ้างอิงในส่วนเนื้อเรื่องแบบนาม-ปี (author-date in text citation) โดยระบุ ชื่อผู้แต่ง และปีพิมพ์ของเอกสาร ไว้ข้างหน้าหรือข้างหลังข้อความที่ต้องการอ้าง เพื่อบอกแหล่งที่มาของข้อความนั้น และอาจระบุเลขหน้าของเอกสารที่อ้างด้วยก็ได้หากต้องการ 2)ให้มีการอ้างอิงส่วนท้ายเล่ม (reference citation) โดยการรวบรวมรายการเอกสารทั้งหมดที่ผู้เขียนได้ใช้อ้างอิงในการเขียนผลงานนั้นๆ จัดเรียงรายการตามลำดับอักษรชื่อผู้แต่ง ภายใต้หัวข้อ เอกสารอ้างอิง สำหรับผลงานวิชาการภาษาไทยหรือ Reference สำหรับผลงานวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษ โดยใช้รูปแบบการเขียนเอกสารอ้างอิงแบบ APA (American Psychological Association) ตัวอย่างการเขียนเอกสารอ้างอิงมีดังนี้ 1. หนังสือ ชื่อผู้แต่ง. (ปีที่พิมพ์). ชื่อเรื่อง. (ครั้งที่พิมพ์). สถานที่พิมพ์: ผู้จัดพิมพ์ พรพิมล ตรีโชติ. (2542). ชนกลุ่มน้อยกับรัฐบาลพม่า.  This journal provides open access to all of it content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Such access is associated with increased readership and increased citation of an author's work. For more information on this approach, see the Public Knowledge Project, which has designed this system to improve the scholarly and public quality of research, and which freely distributes the journal system as well as other software to support the open access publishing of scholarly resources. |
