Abstract

Pornography, according to feminism’s attitude, is a practical part of inequality in several aspects, and an explicit reflection of women’s sexual objectification, as well as a crucial issue of ethics. The main question is how human beings become objects. “Instrumentality” or exploitation is one of various ways to define or analyzes the relationship between men and women. Feminists believe that pornography take away human beings’ character, and contributes to inequality. One should not be treated as an object which is lifeless, subordinate, and degrading. However, this study reveals two causes of women’s sexual objectification: patriarchy or men supremacy, the unequal power relationships between men and women and self admiration, the women’s interpretation of their appearance known as narcissism.

บทคัดย่อ
สื่อกระตุ้นเร้าอารมณ์ทางเพศตามทัศนะของ สตรีนิยม คือ ภาคปฏิบัติของความไม่เท่าเทียมใน หลายมิติ เป็นภาพสะท้อนที่ชัดเจนของการปฏิบัติต่อ ผู้หญิงเสมือนวัตถุทางเพศ และเป็นปัญหาสำคัญ ทางจริยศาสตร์ที่สตรีนิยมให้ความสนใจ คำถามสำคัญ คือ บุคคลกลายเป็นวัตถุได้อย่างไร “การเป็นเครื่องมือ” หรือการถูกปฏิบัติเสมือนเป็นเครื่องมือเครื่องใช้ เป็น แนวทางในการให้คำจำกัดความหรือแนวทางในการ วิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์แนวทางหนึ่ง ซึ่งนักสตรีนิยม เชื่อวา่ สื่อกระตุน้ เรา้ อารมณท์ างเพศทำใหคุ้ณลักษณะ ของความเปน็ มนุษยส์ ูญสิ้นและนำไปสูค่ วามไมเ่ทา่ เทียม บุคคลไม่ควรถูกปฏิบัติเสมือนสิ่งของที่ไร้ชีวิต ด้อยค่า และไร้เกียรติ อย่างไรก็ตาม การศึกษารนี้ พบว่า การ ปฏิบัติต่อผู้หญิงเสมือนวัตถุทางเพศในสื่อกระตุ้นเร้า ทางเพศ เกิดจากสาเหตุ 2 ประการ คือ เกิดจากมุมมอง ของเพศชาย ภายใต้ระบบโครงสร้างความสัมพันธ์เชิง อำนาจที่ไม่เท่าเทียมกัน เรียกว่า ปิตาธิปไตยหรือชาย เป็นใหญ่ และจากการตีความตนเองของผู้หญิงที่ให้ ความสำคัญกับปัจจัยภายนอกตัว ภายใต้ปรากฏการณ์ ของการชื่นชมตัวเอง เรียกว่า ผู้หลงใหลในตัวเอง
