Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the faculty research culture at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani campus and to present related innovations for developing the faculty research culture.The research methods were the administrator in-depth interview and the faculty questionnaire. The samples of this study were 145 administrators and faculties. The data was analyzed by using content analysis. The statistics used were percentage, means, and standard deviation. The study revealed the faculties research culture in terms of beliefs attitudes, and research value, was to enhance wisdom and their academic experiences. The faculties’s main objective was to promote an academic position more than to develop instructional management or to construct new knowledge. The faculties had overwhelming with teaching tasks, lacked of time in conducting research studies. Most of research studies were not productive and served the needs of users. The innovations for developing the research culture aimed to develop in two levels: a) the faculty level, which promote positive attitudes, good values, morale, encouragement and motivation in doing research and b) the campus level,which develop its mechanic development, research administration and management, and good environmental management in doing effective and continuous research.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาวัฒนธรรมวิจัยของอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี และนำเสนอนวัตกรรมเพื่อการพัฒนาวัฒนธรรมของอาจารย์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี ดำเนิน การวิจัยโดยการ สัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึกผู้บริหาร และสอบถามอาจารย์ในทุกคณะ ซึ่งเป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวนทั้งหมด 145 คนและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา สถิติที่ใช้ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการ วิจัย พบว่า 1) ด้านวัฒนธรรมวิจัยของอาจารย์ในด้านความเชื่อ เจตคติ และค่านิยมในการทำวิจัย ส่วนใหญ่ เห็นว่า การทำวิจัยเป็นวิธีเสริมสร้างภูมิปัญญา และประสบการณ์ทางวิชาการ เป้าหมายของการทำวิจัย เพื่อความก้าวหน้า ทางตำแหน่งวิชาการมากกว่าเพื่อพัฒนาการเรียนการสอน หรือสร้างองค์ความรู้ ใหม่ อาจารย์มีภาระงานสอนมาก ไม่มีเวลา ทำวิจัย และผลงานวิจัยส่วนใหญ่ยังไม่สามารถตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้ใช้ประโยชน์อย่างแท้จริง 2) ด้านนวัตกรรม เพื่อการพัฒนาวัฒนธรรมวิจัยของอาจารย์ มุ่งพัฒนาวัฒนธรรมวิจัยใน 2 ระดับ ได้แก่ ระดับอาจารย์ ให้เกิดเจตคติ และ ค่านิยมที่ดีในการทำวิจัย มีขวัญ กำลังใจ และมีแรงจูงใจในการทำวิจัย ระดับวิทยาเขต มุ่งสร้าง และพัฒนากลไก การบริหารจัดการงานวิจัย การจัดสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้อต่อการทำวิจัยของอาจารย์อย่างต่อเนื่องและมีประสิทธิภาพ
