Abstract

This article aimed to investigate the status of southern Thai books information resources in Phatthalung and Songkhla provinces. The southern Thai books are important evidences for the historical study and southern cultures; they provide historical information and show the way of lives of Thai southerners. This survey also studied history of information resources, process of the southern Thai book preservation and the problems and obstacles of historical and cultural studies of southern Thailand.

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้เป็นการศึกษาสถานภาพของแหล่งข้อมูลสมุดไทยภาคใต้พื้นที่จังหวัดพัทลุงและจังหวัดสงขลา ผลการสำรวจพบว่าสมุดไทยมีความสำคัญต่อการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ และวัฒนธรรมของท้องถิ่นภาคใต้คือ สมุดไทย จัดเป็นหลักฐานเอกสารประเภทหนึ่งที่ให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับประวัติศาสตร์ของคนไทยภาคใต้ และเป็นแหล่งภูมิปัญญา ที่บ่งบอกสภาพวิถีชีวิตคนไทยในท้องถิ่นภาคใต้ นอกจากนี้ ยังได้ศึกษาวิเคราะห์ประวัติความเป็นมาของแหล่งข้อมูล กระบวนการดำเนินการอนุรักษ์ เผยแพร่ผลงานเกี่ยวกับสมุดไทย เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการศึกษาวิจัยด้านประวัติศาสตร์ และวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นภาคใต้ ตลอดจนการศึกษาปัญหา อุปสรรคของการดำเนินงาน และแนวทางในการพัฒนา ศักยภาพแหล่งข้อมูลสำหรับการศึกษาค้นคว้าด้านประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมภาคใต้ในอนาคต
